The word is out!
Kaos has a confirmed bid to compete at WUCC 2018.
This weekend Ultimate Australia announced that Australian has received 2 bids for women’s club teams from WFDF, and that Kaos has been awarded one of them! This was a crucial step for our campaign to reach Ohio and we are ecstatic to have it confirmed. Congratulations to our friends Ellipsis Ultimate from Melbourne who have also qualified in the women’s division, we look forward to seeing you on the world stage.
We have received over 40 player EOIs for this season so we know many of you are anxious to hear about our next steps. With the development that both women’s bids have been allocated we no longer need to participate in the qualifying tournament this December. This means a slight reduction to our estimated campaign cost and also defers the deadline for confirmed selections.
WUCC team selections have thus been moved to coincide with Division 2 selections in November. The dates are 14th, 16th and 19th of November during regular Kaos training times (6.30 – 8.30 Tuesday evening, 6.30 – 8.30 Thursday evening, 9 – 11 Sunday morning). All players hoping to represent Kaos at either Div 2 nationals or WUCC must attend these sessions. If you are unable to attend please email the club at kaosultimateclub@gmail.com. Details of selection criteria will be emailed to prospective players prior to these dates. Selector EOIs and announcements will be made via the Kaos website and Facebook page in the coming weeks.
